November is Long Term Care Awareness Month. But if we’re honest, it seems like the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 has made all of us very aware of long term care every month this year.

The phrase, long term care, gets used a lot. So what does it mean? Simply put, it’s the care and services someone needs to help them during a period of their life when they may not be able to care for themselves safely and adequately. That includes both medical and non-medical care.

What do you need to know about long term care? The better question might be, what do you WANT to know about long term care?
