The genesis for Ovation Home Care in Gainesville, FL began in the hearts of Brent and Terri Pope, the founding leadership team whose partnership extends beyond the boardroom. They sought to create a home care agency that could elevate the senior care experience.

Brent and Terri had had their own encounters with home care. First, when Brent’s mom moved into their home and needed ongoing personal home care following a hospitalization. Then, too, after Terri’s mother suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and came home requiring hospice care.

They valued the care and support their mothers received, but their experiences convinced them that seniors deserve better. So began the kernel of an idea that would grow into Ovation Home Care Gainesville FL.

Terri has been a licensed, registered occupational therapist in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Her career spans 35 years—over 30 of which has been spent caring for the elderly in homes, skilled facilities, and their homes.

Before cofounding Ovation Home Care, she invested her efforts in a supervisory role at Alabama’s first PACE facility, where the entire focus of the organization is to help home eligible seniors age in place, ensuring they get all the care and support they need without having to leave their residence.
